Neil gets a buzz from understanding people and how to get the best from them. There is nothing he loves more than giving people the confidence and skills to jump-start their own innovation journey. Whether embedding innovation mindsets, skills and behaviors across organizations or coaching others on how to crack their own innovation challenges, Neil’s passion for people, coupled with his rational approach to problem solving, make him a true change maker.
Prior to joining ?What If!, Neil spent seven years in the energy industry, where he mastered numerous roles from frontline, operations management and transformational change to innovation incubating.
Neil is originally from Scotland. He can be found still clinging to an unfulfilled soccer career, hacking his way dangerously round a golf course, or destroying his favorite songs on his guitar.

We were working with a group of 150 senior executives from a global insurer who wanted to put the customer at the heart of every decision. It turned out some of them hadn’t spoken to a customer in 20 years, so we brought in 150 of their customers to have a face-to-face, human conversation about their business. It’s safe to say, they are definitely wearing the customer shoes now!
