Nina Maturu

Lead Inventor

Nina imagines new futures by approaching problems with the mindset of both a philosopher and a maker. At ?What If! she pushes project teams to ask the difficult questions and harnesses her journey across sectors and geographies to pull from unexpected places, connecting the dots and conjuring up ground-breaking ?What If! possibilities.

Prior to ?What If! Nina led teams in customer-first organizations across financial services, retail and the public sector, living and working in India, Japan, Tanzania, and across the US. Her experience spans launching disruptive go-to-market strategies for digital products to founding a profitable, social-impact fashion company which trained chronically unemployed women in Detroit to produce the designs.

Outside of ?What If!, she can be found teaching the next generation of innovators at Parsons School of Design, tending to her (apartment-bound) urban garden, or holed up in her Brooklyn studio making jewelry.
