We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our New York office and lead a team of passionate designers in creating breakthrough work for clients. As a Junior Designer, you’ll Design to Learn and Design to Launch through working on a diverse portfolio projects that solve problems across a variety of industries. With an eagerness to learn from others and grow your design skillset, you actively work alongside your senior team members in creating audacious, impactful work for our clients. You’re always up for a challenge, are ready to jump into collaborative teamwork, and understand the significance of delivering work of second-to-none quality. As a natural creative problem-solver with an acute attention to detail, you bring your unique point of view to the table, and your sharp execution and strong conceptual thinking go hand-in-hand.


YOU WILL

  • Design concepts and deliverables in a variety of media, including but not limited to print (e.g. books, packaging, brand identities) and digital (e.g. websites, apps, products)
  • Create polished, client-ready decks (e.g. pitches, proposals, final share-outs)
  • Support senior team members on projects which blend visual design with strategy
  • Gain an understanding of how to incorporate synthesized user research and consumer insights into design deliverables
  • Collaborate with designers and Inventors to create audacious, impactful deliverables
  • Work both independently and with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively communicate concepts, ideas, and design rationale, both verbally and visually
  • Maintain internal brand identity and assets (e.g. business card production, branded PowerPoint deck, company website)
  • Manage and communicate with printers and developers to coordinate print and digital production

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of design industry experience; Recent graduates encouraged to apply
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or an equivalent degree
  • Compelling design portfolio demonstrating extensive experience across print and digital media — additional skills in motion and/or illustration are a plus
  • Proven aptitude for quick creative problem solving and sharp attention to detail within a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to take direction from senior team members
  • An enthusiastic, team-player mindset
  • Eagerness to learn from others, constantly improve your skillset, and grow as a designer
  • Experience in digital prototyping with a baseline understanding of UI/UX design
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills, demonstrating an ability to clearly articulate ideas and present work
  • Fluency in industry-standard design applications (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, InVision, PowerPoint)
