Description

What happens when experiments become real? For over 25 years, we’ve partnered with organisations who are hungry for growth, working with them to invent new products, services, business models and behaviours.

We use an experimentation-led approach to define the strategy, create the inventions and change the culture to turn organisations into human powered experimentation engines.

Our values are embedded in our DNA and inform all of our decision making, not the least of which is recruitment. They are not just written on job specs, but truths that we live by every day. They are the foundation of our culture and we take a heck of a lot of pride in them. It's therefore important that we regularly get together to celebrate them and our collective impact.

Events Intern - (n.) Organiser, Creator, Experience builder.

Our Events Intern will be with us for 6 months. Their job is to support our Deputy Global Chief of Staff on the delivery of our annual global event in September 2019 - WhatStock 2. This is wonderful learning opportunity to help design, plan and execute what is a guaranteed epic global event.

The attributes which make up a great Events Intern -

  • People who put their hands up, and roll their sleeves up, without being asked.
  • Those who understand the importance of the big jobs and the small jobs. Who are confident enough to work with senior innovation experts and comfortable enough having an opinion around them.
  • Problem solvers, who don't see barriers, but challenges to be solved.
  • Organisational gods. With an eye for detail.
  • People people, who can put themselves in other’s shoes.
  • Experience planners who understand the value of bringing people on a journey.
  • Someone who can bring some real magic.

Sounds like you? This is what you would be doing -

You will support the end to end delivery of Whatstock 2, our Global company event. Everything from logistics (flights, on the ground transport, passports) to venue (where is it, where will everyone sleep) will need to be planned. Plus we will need you to help us to plan the experience - from the kit needed to host activities, to the timings of those activities, to the catering options for our vegan & nut free colleague.

To do this you will need to build strong relationships with fellow members of the WhatStock planning committee from the get go. Attend and minute weekly planning meetings and have an oversight on everything we are planning. You will be expected to keep multiple balls in the air and be the main point of contact for the event.

You will need to create good relationships with suppliers/ venues. You'll need to always be thinking about how we manage the budget without letting up on the experience.

You will provide support on the execution of other cultural company events as well as providing ad hoc support to our Global and Deputy Chiefs of Staff.

The result?

An incredible opportunity to experience a truly values led business that celebrates it's people. The chance to build a company event that is incredibly human, insightful and fun.  The chance to work with senior innovation experts and leaders whilst gaining insight into how consulting businesses are run. A brilliant networking opportunity, a chance to learn about innovation and the people who work in it.

Plus, you’ll get pro-rated 30 days holiday. And a salary to go with it.
