eeking to deeply understand the human element and build innovative, elegant solutions, Sanjay is driven by curiosity and adventure. He has pursued a wide range of professional experiences, ranging from financing new toll roads in Texas to designing a model to deliver clean water to slums across India.
Sanjay joins ?What If! from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, where he recently earned his MBA. He began his career honing his business acumen as an investment banker at JPMorgan. Building on these skills, Sanjay went on to explore his interests in using creative approaches to address social challenges as a Clinton Fellow in India. As a Fellow, he spent a year with a microfinance institution to build out the organization’s capacity to serve over 20,000 marginalized women. After his fellowship, Sanjay remained in India and joined the Monitor Group’s Inclusive Markets team, where he designed business models that empowered low-income communities with affordable housing and safe drinking water.
Always chasing new adventures, Sanjay is determined to visit 100 countries and spends his spare time planning international trips. He also enjoys seeking out obscure cuisines in New York and taking classes in the circus arts (e.g. juggling and aerial silks), but please don’t ask him to juggle when you see him.
